Introduction to the Handgun, April 10, 2021, Lexington, KY
This course is designed with the beginner in mind, but is great for people who might be a little rusty and are interested in getting back to the basics. Topics covered will be grip, trigger, sight alignment/sight picture, drawing from the holster, firing, and clearing malfunctions.
100 rounds of good factory ammunition minimum.
You will need to bring the following:
A firearm in good working order (preferable 9mm or above, but not mandatory).
100 rounds of ammunition. Factory ammo is preferred. If you bring reloads they need to be approved before the class.
A good STRONG SIDE holster. Leather or Kydex. We don’t allow any one size fits all type holsters. You must be able to draw your pistol in a safe manner from your holster. (if you have questions about gear, please give us a call)
Three magazines, or speed loaders for revolvers.
Double mag pouch or two singles.
Any snacks or drinks you will want for the day.
You may also want to bring knee pads and a lawn chair.
