Safety Strategies for Aid Organizations (4 hour Seminar)
Emergencies can happen anywhere and at any time. Being prepared for anything from a medical emergency to extreme weather events to workplace violence has become increasingly important. It is even more important for those whose clients comprise some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
Whatever your outreach mission is, you have day-to-day challenges that the regular workforce doesn't. The Bulwarks team understands this, and we have the skills to share with you on how to be more prepared for unplanned and rapidly changing situations.
Our 4-hour seminar is designed for teams of up to 15 people, and is conducted on-site at your facility. You become a part of the Bulwarks family and we begin the building process with you. Together, we custom-build a course that fits your needs and address the concerns you have for how your staff should respond when under extreme stress.
Topics we can include:
A brief physical security audit that addresses entry/exit points, paths to safety, and use of "safe rooms" for staging during an emergency.
Mindset and mindfulness strategies that identify threat indicators, help staff engage in meaningful de-escalation techniques, and help staff improve memory and recall.
Unarmed self-defense strategies.
Decision-making exercises that teach your staff how to make better decisions with limited options.
Should you require a complete security audit, advanced medical or triage instruction, advanced instruction in unarmed defense, or advanced instruction in critical thinking and exigent circumstances decision-making, please call for a consult.
Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have questions or would like more information. We can be reached by phone between 9 am - 7 pm Eastern time at 859.319.6480. We can also be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
